Early Work
Morant first started painting while living in Lightning Ridge, NSW. He was given a small gift of oil paints by an art dealer come opal afficianado and within two years he held his first exhibition at the Russell Davis Galleries in Armadale, Victoria. This exhibition was opened in early 1976 by Alan Marshall, the great Australian writer.
